Exclusive Group Trigger IAs

IA-Slots can be assigned to a POST trigger.

When an IA-Slot is triggered, if any IA-Slots in the exclusive group are ON, then the ON message of the exclusive post group trigger will be fired, otherwise the OFF messages will be fired.

This will allow a group of IA-Slots to share a common set of programming based on the states of all within the exclusive grouping.

Example: 3 IA-Slots (e.g. 1,2,3) are used as effects and require a loop on a switcher to remain active when any of the 3 IA-slots is ON. If all of the IA-Slots are turned off, then the loop on the switcher needs to be off.

Assign all 3 IA-Slots (1,2,3) to a Post Trigger group (ex 6). Assign the post trigger group to one of the 180 IA-Slots (e.g. 17). Program the triggered IA-Slot (17) to turn ON and OFF the loop.

The LF+ will determine if 1 or more of the Trigger-Grouped IA's is ON, if so, the ON messages of the Triggered IA-Slot (17) will fire. If all of the IA-Slots are off, then the OFF programming will fire.

Grouped IA configuration

When you have IA's grouped, only one can be active. Two different ways to process this:

Brake, then Make: first process the OFF messages of the last used IA, then process the ON message of the new IA.

Make, then Break: first process the ON messages of the new IA, then process the OFF message of the last used IA.

MIDI Channel Name

Special reserved MIDI device names: "LROUTER", "AXE-FX", "AXE-FX2", "ECLIPSE" and "KEMPER" used for tap, tuner and external sync.

MIDI +1 offset

Some Midi devices go from 0-127, others from 1-128. For each Midi channel you can set the offset which makes programming easier.

MIDI Bank Send

When enabled, all bank changes will be handles automatically.

MIDI Bank MSB

Enabled: bank changes will use MSB CC#00, LSB CC#32.

Disabled: bank changes will use standard MSB CC#00.

MIDI Max Preset

Defines the maximum preset # usable by this MIDI channel.

If higher then 128, bank switching will be handled automatically.

Expression Pedal #: Type

Not Active:

Continuous: normally used for wah, volume, ...

Latch: pedals act as ON/OFF switches. When first pressed, the pedal will send an ON message (value=127) to the CC# programmed. When the pedal is pressed again, it will send an OFF message (value=0). Typically a properly wired stomp switch would be attached, however, a pedal could still be used.

Momentary: pedals act just like a Latch, except that the ON message is sent and the pedal waits for the user to let go of the button. Once released, the OFF message is sent.

Single Shot: pedals simply send an ON message. This is typically done with a properly attached switch.

Broadcast: will send a value to ALL 16 Midi channels.

Trigger IA: will turn an IA switch ON.

Toggle IA: allows an external switch to toggle an IA switch.

Page Button Press: allows an external switch to control a button on the page just as if that button was on the top of the controller. It is a way to add additional button control via external switches.

2 Page Buttons: similar as Page Button Press, however, this type allows 2 buttons to be connected to the LF+ expression pedal port. This allows you to control 2 different buttons to a single expression pedal port. This mode requires special wiring. (Check out examples how to do that)

Expression Pedal #: auto calibrate

Normally you calibrate your pedals once in the hardware menu or you can choose to calibrate then automatically every time you boot the LF+.

Expression Pedal #: block reset

Only usefull if you use song, preset or IA-slot to change the CC# of the expression pedal.

e.g.: Expression Data CC# is set to 3. A preset changes the CC# of the expression pedal from 3 to 55.

Expression pedal #: force zipper

Some Continous Controllers units require sequential sweeps to sound properly.

When enabled, if pedal values are made quick (e.g. 0-100) then all values (0,1,2,..) are sended. You could experience slight delay due to MIDI latency.

Expression pedal #: CC Sweep

Set the Min/Max Midi value sweep ranges.

Expression Pedal #: Channel

Select the MIDI-channel for this expression pedal.

Expression pedal #: first button

Depending on the configuration type of the expression pedal this can have a different meaning:
  • CC number (continuous, latch, momentary, single shot, broadcast).
  • IA number (trigger IA, toggle IA).
  • Button on a page (page button press, 2 page buttons).

Expression pedal #: second button

Only valid when using 2 Page Buttons. This is the page number of the second external switch.

To use 2 switches on one external output, special wiring is needed. (Check out examples how to do that)

Expression pedal #: Toe/Heel Trigger

IA-slot to trigger when reaching full Toe or Heel.
